Inspection And Test Of Suspended Scaffolds/Platform

Requirement of Inspection and acceptance:
A. Check the rope-lock status of safety lock
1. Anti-tilt type
Let the suspended platform up 1-2 m and to turn on the change-switch to down seat and put button to let the platform tilt. When the platform tilt to 3°-8°, the safety lock will lock the safety wire rope. Let the lower end of platform to up to level position and the safety lock automatically reset and then the safety wire rope in lock is free. (to test the left or right safety lock by same method)
2. Centrifugal speed-limit type
Quickly draw the safety wire rope and the safety lock immediately lock it and the lock can not automatically reset.

B.inspection of suspended platform
There is no abnormal wear, corrosion, surface cracks, loose connection and sealing off in hoister and the connecting place between hoister and suspended platform.
The control box, cable, controlling buttons and plugs should in good state with no damage and limit switches and hand switch should be flexible and no electric leakage phenomenon.

C.Inspection of suspended mechanism 
Each connection sites should be firm and no rupture and sealing off. The balance weight should be placed well with no shortage and the wire rope also should be fixed well and ensure it is no excessive wear and rupture. At the same time, the wire rope which meets condemning limit must be replaced. We also install well the hammer suspended at the lower of wire rope.

D.Power Inspection
After power-connecting, we check the running of suspended platform and look that if the hoisters have some abnormal sound and vibration phenomenon. The electromagnetic brake should be flexible and reliable without exceptional problems.

E.Inspection of safety rope and safety band 
They should be kept intact.

F.Inspection of limit stop
We raise the suspended platform to the highest operating altitude and adjust well the position of upper limit block and arm’s angle for upper limit switch. The rollers on the arm of limit switch should be at the upper-bit block plane.

G.Inspection of no-load
We do no-load operation for the suspended platform 3 or 5 times and each trip has 3 or 5 meters. The whole process should be steady and the hoister should no abnormal sound. Motor and action of electromagnetic brake should be flexible and reliable and each junction without loosening. When we press the “stop” button or pull the limit switch arm, the suspended platform should be able to stop the run.

H. Inspection of manually downhill race
After raising the platform at 3-5 meters high, we stop the platform and take out the lever in the hoister handle. Then we insert it into the hole inside the motor hood, while lift the platform at both ends at the same time. The suspended platform should be able to smooth drop and the speed should be no greater than 1.5 times of decline speed.

I.Inspection of rated load
We evenly load the rated load in the suspended platform and run the platform 3 or 5 times up and down with 3 or 5 meters each time. There should be no abnormal sound during operation and no downhill phenomenon when stop the machine. When the platform is inclined, safety lock could flexibly and reliably lock the wire rope, in addition, each connection seat in platform should be firm without any loose point.

During operation, if the height difference between two of platform over 15 cm, we should promptly level the platform. (we allocate change-over switch to the side to adjust the level)
